Caring for fabric
Proper care of your furniture fabric will help ensure it will last and last. Sunlight, body oils and direct heat may cause
changes of colour in fabrics so try to minimise them as much as possible. Vacuum or brush your furniture regularly to
reduce any wear and tear from dirt in the fabric and remove any fibre pills at the same time. Pilling can occur because
of normal daily wear and is not a fault in the fabric. If you catch or tear a thread NEVER pull it, just cut it off and
tuck the cut end back in.
Spills
If you do happen to get a minor stain or spill on your furniture, blot the area quickly with a clean cloth. Don't scrub
or soak the fabric. Make sure you carefully read the Care Label BEFORE you do any further cleaning and test any cleaning
product in an inconspicuous area to make sure the product and fabric are compatible. If the damage is considerable, contact
a professional upholstery cleaner for advice and assistance.
Caring for leather
While leather is a hard wearing material for your furniture, body oils, grit, grime and perspiration can cause damage
if it is not treated regularly. Hard work areas like armrests, seat cushions, headrests and creases in the leather will
need extra attention.
Be AWARE! Do not use your usual household cleaning products on your leather furniture as they may cause the leather to
become sticky and crack. For everyday care simply wipe over with a damp cloth to keep your leather furniture in good
condition. To maintain and preserve the leather only use a specific leather cleaner and conditioner that has been formulated
to work together and always follow the directions carefully.

While all of our furniture products come from respected manufacturers that guarantee their products, your furniture will
need regular attention to extend its life. How much attention it needs will largely depend on your lifestyle and environment,
however there are some basic things that you can do to help.
- Ensure your furniture is protected from damp conditions as this may cause mould to develop
- Try to protect your furniture from extreme fluctuations in heat and cold
- Radiators and heaters can cause colour fading
- Prolonged exposure to sunlight will damage and fade fabric and leather
- Do not drag your furniture as this may weaken the structure
- Clean up after spills immediately
