McPhails Furniture began as a furniture removals business in the 60's, when in 1976 Keith and Bev McPhail saw an opportunity to expand into furniture sales and purchased a warehouse at 54 Tone Road Wangaratta. The business prospered as they began to sell new lounge suites, mattresses, beds, dining settings and other items, so they subsequently brought the adjoining properties and expanded the business.
Now offering one of the largest and most comprehensive furniture ranges available between the capital cities, McPhails Furniture is still a family owned and independently operated business. The business has been successfully operated by brothers Casey and Jason along with their mother Bev for several years after the death of the founder Keith in 1997. Then in 2006 a further ownership change occurred with the retirement of matriarch Bev from the business. McPhails Furniture is now owned and operated by brothers Casey and Jason McPhail who pride themselves on offering good value for money, customer service and a top quality rang of brands and furniture. Well respected within the furniture industry, the McPhail family enjoy a quality reputation and have developed strong business relationships with many manufacturers over more t han 30 years, giving their customers excellent buying power as well as an enviable selection of products from their two substantial showrooms in Wangaratta and Wodonga.
For those who are familiar with McPhails Furniture, the original 'Of course we do deliver' little boy from the television commercials and advertising is the youngest McPhail brother Taylor who is now 18 years old.
